On November 6, Wang Xinwei, Deputy Secretary of the Liaoning Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee, met with Shenzhen Hydrogen Era New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. to discuss collaboration opportunities.
Shenzhen Hydrogen Era, a national high-tech company that specialises in hydrogen fuel cell engines and key components, embraces Shenyang’s ambition for creating a sustainable hydrogen industrial ecosystem. Shenzhen Hydrogen Era has established a subsidiary, Liaoning Hydrogen Era, in Shenyang’s Economic and Technological Development Zone. Production facilities for hydrogen fuel cell engines, hydrogen-powered drones, big vehicles, and a hydrogen-to-methanol demonstration facility are among the projects being planned.
Wang Xinwei welcomed the Shenzhen Hydrogen Era team and expressed gratitude for their contributions to Shenyang’s revitalisation. Aligned with President Xi Jinping’s demand for a “new breakthrough” in Northeast China’s development, Shenyang is poised to spearhead this change, with hydrogen energy at its centre. Shenyang’s solid foundation in hydrogen resource development, equipment manufacture, and sophisticated materials prepares it to be a leader in this field.
Shenyang envisions a billion-dollar hydrogen industry cluster that will cover all aspects of the hydrogen production chain, from storage to transportation, processing, and application. Wang expressed his desire to strengthen this relationship, particularly in progressing initiatives like as the hydrogen fuel cell engine production facility. Shenyang and Shenzhen Hydrogen Era want to create a global competitive industrial ecosystem, establishing Shenyang as a hydrogen industry hub.
